You will easily reach Giglio island by ferry from Porto Santo Stefano (Monte Argentario) where two shipping companies (Toremar and Maregiglio) carry out numerous routes throughout the week with destination Giglio Porto.

BY CAR
Coming from the north, from Florence or Pisa, you will pass through the byway of Grosseto proceeding towards Rome on the Aurelia road.
After about 34 km you have to exit at Albinia and proceed with the indications for Porto Santo Stefano (12 km).
Coming from the south, from Rome, you have to travel along the Aurelia road or the Rome-Fiumicino highway (to leave the city of Rome) and then along the A12 highway towards Civitavecchia.
The highway ends at Tarquinia, hence take the SS1 Aurelia until you get to Orbetello.
You have to cross the city of Orbetello, then follow the directions for Porto Santo Stefano (12 km).

BY TRAIN AND BUS
You will have to get off the line Pisa-Rome at the Orbetello - Monte Argentario stop.
The Orbetello railway station is connected with the boarding area of Porto Santo Stefano by bus of Tiemme company.
The bus ticket (Eur 2,60) is available at the bar of the station or straight on board with a surcharge.

BY AIRPLANE
The nearest airports are the two located in Rome (Fiumicino or Ciampino) and the one located in Pisa (about 150 km).
From Pisa airport, you will have to take the train “People Mover” towards Pisa Central Station and then proceed with regional train lines or high-speed trains towards Rome.
From Fiumicino airport, you will have to take the regional train towards Orte until Trastevere station and then take the regional train towards Pisa.
Alternatively, you could take the "Leonardo Express" towards Termini station (Rome Central Station) from where you can take regional trains or high-speed trains.

TOSCANA BY BUS
Departing from one of the following cities it’s possible to reach first the Orbetello Station and then Porto Santo Stefano: Siena, Grosseto, Civitavecchia, Fiumicino airport.
